Key West is located 120 miles from mainland Florida at the southwestern-most tip of the island chain called the Florida Keys.
Several commercial airlines (American, AirTran, Continental, Delta and more) fly directly into Key West from major cities (Atlanta, Miami, Orlando and Tampa), and Cape Air has connections from Naples, Ft. Myers and Ft. Lauderdale.
You can also take a ferry from Ft. Myers, take a bus or shuttle from south Florida airports, or make the scenic three-and-a-half-hour drive from Miami.
Pearl's Key West is ideally located in Old Town (the historic district) just off the quiet end of Duval Street (Key West's main street), and two blocks from Key West's South Beach and the Southernmost Point in the continental United States.
Driving?
U.S. 1 is the only highway from the mainland and Key Largo to Key West, and the drive is about 100 miles:
- Take U.S. 1 south to the "T" in Key West.
- Turn right at the light onto North Roosevelt Boulevard and stay on this road with the water on your right. In about two and a half miles, it becomes Truman Avenue.
- At the fifth light in town, turn left onto Simonton Avenue.
- Turn right at the next light onto United Street.
- Pearl's is in the middle of the block on your right.
