Because of its ocean location, the average summer and winter temperatures only differ by about ten degrees in Key West. The summer heat is subdued by sea breezes and trade winds. Key West never had any report of snow, ice, sleet, or frost during the winter. During the summer, the weather is warm and muggy, averaging a high of 90 and a low of 80 during nighttime. Although warm, the waters that surround the island keep the temperature moderate with an all-time high of only 98 degrees. During winter, the temperature is between 65 to 75 degrees, although a cold front can drastically lower the temperature, with the all-time low of 45 degrees.
A lot of tourists arrive in Key West with suitcases full of clothes that they cannot even use for their vacation. The dress code in Key West is very casual. In fact, even the finest restaurant will let you in wearing shorts and a top. The Key West lesbian styles run from loose fitting dresses and shorts and tanks during the summer to light sweaters or long-sleeved shirts in the winter (and occasionally a pair of jeans). There is no set dress code in this lesbian paradise however. Wear whatever you feel like wearing - the community is very accepting of everyone.
Some ideas for things to do while in Key West include saltwater fishing, dolphin watching, or kayaking. Key West has a natural habitat with one of the most beautiful coral reefs on the planet. This coral reef is very fragile. Merely touching it can cause a lot of damage; those who touch the coral reef while snorkeling and do damage to them pay steep fines for this. People caught littering are penalized with excessive fines as well.
