The westernmost portion of Key West constitutes Old Town, the site of original settlements in the early 1800’s. There you’ll find major attractions like the Little Truman White House, the Key West Aquarium, the Hemingway House and the Mel Fisher Maritime Museum. Our concierge staff can help you plan a sightseeing tour of the whole island – including the delightful Gay and Lesbian Trolley Tour every Saturday.
“The concierge was very helpful and made our stay extra special.”
Duval Street, the main shopping and tourist avenue, runs from the Atlantic Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico. Shops, galleries and restaurants line both sides of Duval, offering something for everyone. It was along this street that the Sea-to-Sea Rainbow Flag was displayed in 2003.
At the Gulf end of Duval, you can join local entertainers and vendors in Mallory Square to celebrate the sunset each evening. A few blocks away, the Historic Seaport shelters boats from all over the world, including the Western Union, the last working schooner built in America.
At the Atlantic end of Duval is the enchanting Key West Butterfly Conservatory. A right on South Street leads to the Southernmost Point in the U.S., while a left leads to Atlantic Shores, one of Key West’s more colorful establishments. Pearl’s Rainbow is just a block away.
